Text files, spreadsheets, graphic images, web pages, CAD drawings, zip files, executables, etc. Virtually every file type in Windows can be managed by WebDOCK. We also provide links to popular free viewers to help your users access their data quickly and efficiently. Quickly Adding Documents With four ways to upload documents into WebDOCK, adding information to your storage space is a breeze. Click on any one of the following methods to learn more about it: Sending Documents Around the World Sending documents to clients and associates is simple too. Through the use of address books maintained by your account administrator, WebDOCK users can send documents to any email address or fax machine in the world that you allow. This means that sending a client an important brief can be accomplished in seconds, from work or home. Tiff to PDF Conversion Scanned images are normally stored in TIFF format. One problem with TIFF images is that they are not searchable, making it very hard to find a certain word or phrase in a 30 page scanned document. Well, we have a fix for that. We can automatically convert each TIFF document you add to WebDOCK into Adobe Acrobat's PDF format. You then can use Acrobat's search tools to find a word or phrase within the scanned document lightning fast. We knew you would like that. Worldwide Access From the office, your home, the library, even on a wireless device, your documents are only a few clicks away since you can access WebDOCK from any location in the world that has an Internet connection. Simply connect to the web and login. If the computer you're using is fairly current you should be able to jump right in and access your documents immediately. Due to performance and development reasons we only support WebDOCK with the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser, version 5.0 or above. Other browsers can be used with WebDOCK, but only IE 5.0+ will be supported by our technical support team. This greatly reduces the number of problems that you can have and allows us to develop a more feature rich product. Powerful User and Group Management We designed WebDOCK to be simple to use, but built in advanced group management for those who need it. By setting up groups within your WebDOCK storage space, you can easily share information with your users, your business partners, and even your clients. You can also setup private folders for your staff that only they can see into. With WebDOCK, you have the power of flexibility. Accountability via Logging and Analysis Our powerful logging tools allow you to see not only who's using WebDOCK, but how they use it. You can also see who's currently on the system and how many licenses are in use.
